Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Udaipur. Visit City Palace and Enjoy Sunset Boat Cruise.
- Upon your arrival in Udaipur in the morning, you will meet our representative who will help you with your transfers to the hotel.
- Check-in to the hotel and get ready to explore Udaipur.
- We will first head out to explore the grand city palace of Udaipur, which was built over a period of 400 years with a beautiful blend of Rajputana, Mughal and European architecture.
- Explore the artistic hallways, darbars, corridors, royal suits and various other features of the City Palace while listening to the glorious tales imbibed in its history.
- After exploring the city palace, we will walk to the nearby Jagdish Mandir - an architectural wonder of the Mewar dynasty dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
- In the evening, we will embark on a scenic sunset boat cruise in Pichola Lake that starts from the Rameshwar Ghat.
- After completing the day’s sightseeing return back to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 2 : Local Sightseeing in Udaipur. Visit the Vintage Car Museum.
- After having your breakfast at the hotel, get ready for your day.
- We will begin the sightseeing by visiting the Saheliyon ki Bari - a well-manicured garden built for the royal ladies with beautiful flowering trees, marble sculptures and fountains.
- Next, we will head to the Vintage and Classic Car Museum to have a look at the collection of cars of the royal family of Udaipur.
- Post afternoon, we will take you to explore Sajjangarh, which is also known as the “Monsoon Palace”.
- Enjoy a beautiful sunset from Sajjangarh overlooking the lakes, Udaipur city, and the surrounding Aravali hills.
- Later, we will take you to the markets of Udaipur to indulge in a shopping spree.
- Overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 3 : Udaipur to Jodhpur. Enroute visit Kumbhalgarh.
- Post breakfast in the hotel and get ready to board your transfers.
- Start your road journey to Kumbhalgarh, which will take approx 2-3 hrs.
- Reach Kumbhalgarh and explore this 2nd largest fort in Rajasthan, encircled by 2nd largest fortified wall in the world.
- After exploring the historic Kumbhalgarh Fort, we will take a 4-5 hours drive to the Blue City - Jodhpur.
- Upon reaching Jodhpur, check-in to the hotel and call it a day.
- Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 4 : Jodhpur Local Sightseeing. Visit the historic Meherangarh Fort.
- Post breakfast in the morning, we will head out to explore the royal heritage sites of Jodhpur.
- First, we will explore the magnificent Meherangarh Fort, perched on a hilltop overlooking the entire Blue City.
- We will walk through the beautifully painted and decorated corridors, palaces and hallways of the fort while listening to the heroic tales of the Rajputana kings.
- Next, we will visit the nearby royal cenotaphs of Jodhpur also known as Jaswant Thada.
- We will spend some time admiring the intricate carvings on this monument made of marble.
- Later, we will stroll around the streets of this old city and witness the old-world charm of Jodhpur by visiting the famous step well known as - Toorji ka Jhalra.
- In the evening, we will indulge in a shopping spree at the Sardar Market, also known as the clock tower market.
- Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 5 : Jodhpur to Jaisalmer. Visit Umaid Bhavan Palace.
- Have your breakfast in the morning and get ready to board your transfer to the Golden City - Jaisalmer.
- Before leaving Jodhpur, we will visit the residence of the current royal family of Jodhpur - the Umaid Bhavan Palace which is located on the highest vantage point of this city.
- We will visit the museum located in this palace which has a rich collection of photographs, arms, clocks, stuffed animals, and many other possessions of the royal family.
- Later, drive for 5-6 hours through several small villages of Rajasthan to reach Jaisalmer.
- Reach Jaisalmer, check-in to your hotel, and call it a day.
- Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 6 : Sightseeing in Jaisalmer. Visit the Sonar Qilla.
- Wake up in the morning and have your breakfast at the hotel.
- Post breakfast, head out to explore the only living fort of India - the Jaisalmer Fort, popularly known as the Sonar Qilla as it exudes shimmer from its walls made of yellow sandstone.
- Explore the various features of this fort while listening to legends of the Rajputana kings living in this fort.
- We will also visit the complex of Jain temples located in the Fort, which are known for their intricate and delicate carvings.
- Next, we will take a tour of the magnificent Patwon ki Haveli, a grand mansion with exquisite wall paintings, intricate mirror work on the walls, beautiful balconies and arches that open up to the panoramic views of the fort and the desert.
- In the evening, we will take you to Gadisar Lake to watch a beautiful sunset.
- Spend some time around the lake and return back to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 7 : Visit Tanot Mata Mandir. Camel Safari and Camping at Sam Sand Dunes.
- Have breakfast early in the morning and prepare for an exciting day.
- We will start the day by visiting Tanot Mata Mandir, which is located around 120 km from Jaisalmer, just 20 km away from the Pakistan border.
- Seek blessings of Tanot mata who is believed to be the protector of the BSF around.
- Return back to Jaisalmer post afternoon and then we will take you for some desert adventure.
- You will head to the Sam Sand Dunes to embark on a camel safari and other sand adventure activities (at your own expense) like dune bashing, ATV rides, etc.
- Enjoy a beautiful sunset over the golden sands of the Thar Desert.
- Post sunset, we will enjoy a delicious dinner along with some traditional performances by the locals.
- Overnight stay at the camps in Sam Sand Dunes.
Day 8 : Departure. Jaisalmer to Jodhpur.
- Post breakfast in the morning, pack your bags, and board your transfers back to Jodhpur.
- After 4-5 hr of road journey, you will reach Jodhpur.
- Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at Jodhpur airport/ railway station for your onward journey.
